Oxford & the Cotswolds — Private Chauffeur Day Trip from London
From your London hotel door to Oxford’s colleges and the honey-stone villages of the Cotswolds — Burford, Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water — in one unhurried day. How the day runs
Departure from your hotel
Your driver arrives at your London hotel entrance at the time you chose, between 8:00 and 11:00am. Oxford is around an hour and a half away.
Oxford
The university city first: Christ Church — college and cathedral in one — and the Radcliffe Camera, the round library at the heart of the old lanes. A couple of hours is enough for the highlights.
Burford
The gateway to the Cotswolds — a single steep high street of antique shops and tearooms dropping to the river. A natural stop for lunch.
Bibury
Arlington Row — the crooked line of weavers’ cottages that appears on postcards, passports and film sets. The most photographed street in the Cotswolds.
Bourton-on-the-Water
The “Venice of the Cotswolds”, with the River Windrush running shallow under its low stone bridges through the village green.
Back to your hotel
An easy drive home — most guests sleep. Your driver returns you to the same address you started from.

Know before you go
- This is a car-first route. The villages have no useful train links — that is exactly why a private car beats every alternative here. Coach tours see two villages on a fixed clock; you see what you like at your pace.
- Wear comfortable shoes. The pleasure of the Cotswolds is walking: lanes, bridges and riverbanks. Nothing strenuous, but you will be on your feet often.
- It is a long, full day. Around nine to ten hours door to door. An earlier departure makes the day noticeably calmer.
- The route is yours to bend. Prefer more Oxford and fewer villages, or the reverse? Tell your driver in the morning — the day is private, so the plan is too.

Honestly one of the best decisions I made. The guy was literally waiting at the plane door at Heathrow, walked me straight through the fast track. I was out before my friends even got off the plane lol. 100% worth it
