Departure from your hotel
Your driver arrives at your London hotel entrance at the time you chose, between 8:00am and 12:00 noon. The drive to Bicester Village takes roughly 1 hour 15 minutes at those hours on a weekday, by our own hour-by-hour data. It works as a London to Bicester Village chauffeur service: the boot carries every bag, and your driver waits nearby while you shop.
Arrival at the village

Know before you go
- Wednesday to Sunday are the busiest days. If you want the calmest boutiques, come Monday or Tuesday; weekends and school holidays draw the biggest crowds.
- Use the village’s hands-free shopping service. Register at Guest Concierge, give your code when you pay and leave the bags with the boutique. Call the concierge about 30 minutes before you leave, then collect everything on the way to the car.
- Choose the V-Class if you plan a serious shopping day. Up to 7 passengers and a large luggage area — the extra space at the end of a long day is worth it.
- Check opening hours before you set the date. Hours vary through the year and on public holidays — confirm them on the village’s official website.
How to get to Bicester Village from London by private car
The easiest way is door to door. Your driver collects you from your London address at the time you choose, sets you down at the entrance, waits as long as you need and drives you and every bag back the same day. There is nothing else to book or connect, and a single fare covers everyone, whether three of you travel or seven in the V-Class.
The village stands at 50 Pingle Drive, Bicester, Oxfordshire OX26 6WD, about 65 miles from central London. Your driver leaves the city westward and joins the M40 towards Oxford, so nearly all of the journey is motorway.
- Pickup from any London address. A hotel, a rented apartment or a family home all work. Staying outside London? Ask before you book and we confirm the fare for your address.
- No car park to search for. At busier times the village runs Park and Ride sites signposted from the motorway. With your own driver you are set down at the village entrance.
- One fare covers both legs. The car takes you out, stays for the day and brings you back. Nothing is added for the return or for the hours of waiting.

Village services for overseas visitors
Bicester Village runs its own guest services from its concierge points. A few of them change how you plan a day by private car, especially if you live outside the UK.
- Tax-free shipping to your home country. The VAT refund at the till ended in Great Britain in 2021 and has not come back. The village can still ship your purchases tax-free if you live outside the UK. Keep for the boot only what you want to wear on this trip.
- Free wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The concierge lends them at no charge, subject to availability. Tell us in the booking notes if a guest needs a folding wheelchair carried in the car, and we suggest the V-Class.
- Luggage drop. Concierge points open 30 minutes before the boutiques and keep bags safely. With your driver waiting, most guests simply use the boot instead.
- A quiet room and a playground. The village has a contemplation room for a calm pause and a playground for children. Free child seats in the car mean the whole family travels together. Returns, personal shopping and buying after you fly home
For a visitor from overseas, one question matters more than the discount: what happens if something is wrong once you have left the country? The village’s own answers settle most of it before you reach the till.
- Each boutique sets its own returns policy. There is no single rule for the whole village. Every brand decides its own terms for returns and exchanges, so ask at the till before you pay and keep each receipt with its bag. If you fly home within days, try things on in the boutique rather than back at the hotel.
- Personal shopping by appointment. The village’s own experts offer a bespoke shopping experience, booked ahead. Fix that appointment first, then give us the time, and we set your pickup so you arrive with room to spare.
- Buying after you get home. More than 100 boutiques sell remotely. You contact the brand by message, phone or email and arrange delivery, which helps when your size was missing on the day.
- Gift cards. They are sold in person at Guest Concierge and online. A card bought online is activated at Guest Concierge, with photo ID and the booking reference.
Add any appointment time when you book, and the departure from your hotel is set to match it.
Is there an extra discount for Bicester Village shoppers?
The outlet prices are only the first saving. The village runs its own membership, and it is worth setting up before the car collects you, because it works through a code on your phone.
- Register as a member before your trip. Sign up on the village’s website or in the Bicester Village app. A welcome email then sends your personal QR code.
- Scan the code with each purchase. Show it to the boutique staff when you pay. Every £1 earns one star, and members can receive surprise rewards in real time to use on the same shopping day.
- Member-only events. At set times of year the village opens savings to members alone.
- Partner offers of 10%. Some hotels, card issuers and travel companies give their customers an extra 10% saving through the same membership code. Each offer has its own end date and cannot be used with any other offer, so read its terms first.

How to plan your Bicester Village shopping day
A Bicester Village shopping trip from London works best with an early pickup and a short list of boutiques. Arrive as the doors open and you get the calmest first hours of the day.
- Make a short list before you leave. Pick the five or six boutiques that matter most and visit them first, before the busiest hours begin.
- Use the car as your base. Walk back to your driver between rounds and leave the bags in the boot. Then return to the shops with free hands.
- Match the car to the haul. The E-Class and S-Class each carry two bags. The V-Class carries seven, which suits a group planning to buy a lot.
- Eat between rounds. An early or late lunch keeps you away from the fullest tables at the cafés and restaurants.

The village currently lists its hours as 09:00 to 20:00, with different hours on public holidays. An 8:00am pickup from a central London hotel puts you at the entrance soon after it opens. Head home by about 4pm to stay ahead of the busiest evening traffic into London.
Shopping at Bicester Village on a Sunday
Sunday runs on shorter hours than the rest of the week. The village opens at 10:00 and closes at 19:00, while Saturday stays open until 21:00.
Several of the largest luxury boutiques keep tighter Sunday hours still. They open for browsing at 11:30, start selling at 12:00 and close by 18:00.
That changes the pickup time. Leave your London hotel at about 9:00am and you reach the entrance soon after the doors open.
Start with the boutiques that keep normal hours, then move to the luxury houses once their tills open at noon. Your driver waits with the car whichever order you choose.

Is Bicester Village busy on Black Friday?
Yes. Black Friday weekend is one of the most crowded times at the village. Expect queues at popular boutiques and full car parks. In 2026, Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November, the day after US Thanksgiving.
Pick your day with care. The Saturday and Sunday are usually the hardest days to shop. The Friday itself, or the Monday after, tends to bring shorter queues and calmer boutiques.
Leave your hotel early so you are there at opening time. Your driver sets you down close to the entrance, then parks and waits for the day. When your hands are full, call your driver to collect the bags and load them in the boot.

Bicester Village over Christmas and the January sales
The Boxing Day and January sales bring some of the busiest days of the year to the village. On those days a car that drops you at the entrance and waits for you saves the most time.
- Set an early pickup from your London hotel, so you arrive as the doors open and before the car parks fill.
- The village publishes its Christmas and New Year opening hours nearer the season. Check them before you fix the date, and we plan the pickup around them.
- Your driver stays with the car all day and loads every bag, so you can shop the sales from morning to late afternoon.
- The fare is the trip’s usual price for the car, the same as on any other day.
Bicester Village on your arrival or departure day
Many overseas guests fit the village into the day they land or the day they fly home. Heathrow sits on the western edge of London and most of the drive to the village is motorway, so a travel day can become a shopping day.
Landing at Heathrow? Your driver meets you at the airport, takes you to the village, stays with the car until you are done and then drives you to your London hotel.
