Your day

How the day runs

  1. Departure from your hotel

Your driver arrives at your London hotel entrance at the time you chose, between 8:00am and 12:00 noon. The drive to Leavesden, north of London, takes around an hour depending on traffic.

  2. The Great Hall

The first set on the tour — the Great Hall with its original long tables, exactly as it appeared in the films. Entry is by the timed slot printed on your ticket.

  3. Diagon Alley

The complete street with its shopfronts as built for filming: Ollivanders wand shop, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes and the Gringotts bank façade.

  4. Platform 9¾ and the Hogwarts Express

The real Hogwarts Express locomotive on the platform, with carriages you can step into for photographs — one of the most popular stops on the tour for families.

  5. The rest of the studio

The Forbidden Forest, Privet Drive and, at the end, the scale model of Hogwarts Castle. Most visitors take three to four hours over the full tour, and you are free to take as long as you like.

  6. King’s Cross station stop optional

On the way back you can stop at King’s Cross to photograph the famous Platform 9¾ trolley inside the station. Just ask your driver on the day.

  7. Back to your hotel

Your driver returns you to the same address you started from, at the time you decide.

  • Child seats on request

Not included

Know before you go

  • Book your tickets a long way ahead. Harry Potter studio tickets usually sell out two to three months in advance, especially during school holidays. Book them on the studio’s official website before you book the car.
  • Your ticket has a timed entry slot. Entry is not open all day — there is a specific time on the ticket you must arrive by. Tell us that time when you book so we can set the departure around it.
  • Allow three to four hours for the tour. That is the usual average; if you like detail and photography you may well take longer, and your driver waits.
  • Child seats must be requested in advance. Give us the children’s ages when you book so the correct seat is fitted before pickup.
  • The studio is indoors and heated. Most of the tour is under cover so the weather will not spoil your day — but there are short outdoor sections, so bring a light coat in winter.

FAQ

Questions about the Harry Potter trip

Do you book the studio tickets?
No. We provide the car and driver only; tickets are booked by you directly on the official Warner Bros. Studio Tour website. We strongly recommend booking the ticket first and then booking the car around the timed entry slot printed on it.
Is the price per person or per car?
Per car, return — never per person. Choose the class that fits your group: the E-Class and S-Class seat up to three, the V-Class up to seven, and the fare stays the same however many of you travel. The exact figure for each class is in the vehicle cards above, and it includes fuel, road tolls and parking at the destination.
How long does the drive from London take?
About an hour from central London in normal conditions, longer at peak times. That is why departures are set between 8:00am and 12:00 noon — so you arrive comfortably before the timed entry slot on your ticket.
Does the driver wait, or leave and come back?
Your driver waits at the studio for the whole visit. You do not need to fix a return time in advance — call when you are ready and the car is there.
Is the driver also a tour guide?
No, the driver is not a licensed tour guide; their job is the driving and looking after your travel. The studio tour itself is self-guided and the studio offers its own audio guide in several languages. If you would like a guide with you for the day, our tour guide in London service is booked separately.
Can you collect me from outside London?
The prices shown are calculated for a pickup inside London. If you are staying outside the city, contact us before booking and we will confirm the right price for you.
Can I cancel my booking?
Yes — free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup, with a full refund of any card payment. Cancellations inside 24 hours are charged in full, and a change requested less than 12 hours before departure may be treated as a cancellation. To cancel, reply to your confirmation email; the full policy is in our terms and conditions.
How do I pay?
You can pay the driver in cash on the day, or by card through the booking form on this page. Card payments are processed securely when you book and you receive a written confirmation by email; if you prefer cash, choose that option in the form and settle with the driver in pounds sterling on the day.

Honestly one of the best decisions I made. The guy was literally waiting at the plane door at Heathrow, walked me straight through the fast track. I was out before my friends even got off the plane lol. 100% worth it
