The fare is £370 for the car, not per person. It suits Christmas shopping and the winter sales.
Short notice? Same-day and next-day trips are often possible — book online or message us to confirm a driver.
How does a chauffeur-driven London shopping day work?
Your driver collects you between 8:00am and 12:00 noon and follows the route below, or the one you give us. Every stop can be longer, shorter or swapped on the day.
The luxury shopping loop
- 10:00Pickup at your hotel; first Knightsbridge for Harrods and Harvey Nichols as the doors open.
- 12:00Mayfair: Bond Street, Mount Street and Burlington Arcade, 90 minutes on foot while the car waits.
- 13:30Lunch in Mayfair or Marylebone; the car takes the morning’s bags to the boot.
- 15:00Regent Street, Liberty and Carnaby Street, then Oxford Street if you want the department stores.
- 16:30Westfield London or King’s Road, or back to the hotel to drop the bags before dinner.
- 18:00Back at your hotel with everything in the boot, not in your hands.

Watch the day before you book
A short film that follows the day in order: your pickup, Harrods in Knightsbridge, Mayfair and Bond Street, the bags going into the boot, Regent Street, Liberty, Oxford Street and Westfield.
What is included in a private shopping day?
Everything the car and the driver need, so the figure we send is the figure you pay.
Door-to-door pickup
Any London hotel, apartment or airport; on arrival days the driver waits inside arrivals with a name board.
Congestion Charge, parking and fuel
The £18 daily Congestion Charge, the Knightsbridge and Mayfair parking and all mileage are ours.
The car waits at every store
Two hours in Harrods or twenty minutes in one boutique: take your time, the car is at the door when you come out.
Bags go straight to the boot
Hand each purchase to your driver and walk on empty-handed; everything is at the hotel when you are.
Child seats and pushchairs
Child seats fitted on request at no charge; the V-Class carries a pushchair, seven passengers and the shopping.
Not included
Your purchases, meals and any personal shopper you book in store; department stores offer that service by appointment.
Which London shopping streets are on the route?
Five districts within four miles of each other, each with a place for the car to wait while you shop.

- Knightsbridge — Harrods on Brompton Road and Harvey Nichols on Sloane Street, five minutes apart.
- Bond Street and Mayfair — the flagship jewellers and fashion houses on New and Old Bond Street, with Mount Street behind; our Mayfair neighbourhood guide maps the streets.
- Burlington Arcade — the covered Regency arcade off Piccadilly, 1819, for watches, cashmere and leather.
- Regent Street — the curved mile from Piccadilly Circus to Oxford Circus, with Liberty and Carnaby Street beside it.
- Oxford Street — Selfridges and the department stores, a ten-minute drive from Mayfair.
- Westfield London — the largest shopping centre in Europe by floor space, 20 minutes west, with covered parking.

Can the day include markets, vintage shops and independent boutiques?
Yes. The route is yours, so one day can mix a luxury street with markets, vintage finds and small independent shops.
- Covent Garden — the market hall, craft stalls and small beauty and fashion boutiques around the piazza.
- Marylebone High Street — independent fashion, homeware and bookshops on a village-style street north of Oxford Street.
- Notting Hill and Portobello Road — antiques, vintage clothing and small galleries among the coloured houses of west London.
- Chelsea — designer boutiques and interiors stores around Duke of York Square.
- Spitalfields and Shoreditch — the covered Victorian market, young designers and vintage stores in east London.
Markets and narrow lanes rarely let a car wait at the door. The driver drops you at one end, parks nearby and collects you where you finish.
A simple plan keeps the driving short: one luxury district in the morning, one market area in the afternoon. East and west London sit far apart, so choose one side for the afternoon.
Stall days and opening times change through the week, so check your markets before you pick the date. Send the order of stops when you book and the route is planned around it.
Can the day include Savile Row tailors and Jermyn Street?
Yes. Private shopping tours in London work just as well for menswear: both streets lie a few minutes’ walk from the Mayfair stops, so a morning at the tailor fits beside the luxury loop or replaces a department store.
- Savile Row — the bespoke tailoring street between Regent Street and New Bond Street, where suits are cut and made by hand on the premises.
- Jermyn Street — shirtmakers, shoemakers and gentlemen’s outfitters south of Piccadilly in St James’s.
- Piccadilly Arcade — the covered passage from Piccadilly to Jermyn Street, with shirts, ties, cufflinks and leather goods.
Tailors and many shirtmakers keep fixed appointment times. Reserve yours with the house before the day and send it with your booking, so the pickup and the order of stops are set around it.
The driver drops you outside and waits on a nearby street while you are measured; anything ready to take home rides back in the car. Two travellers can split up for an hour, one at the tailor and one in the boutiques, and the driver collects each in turn.
Which vehicle suits a shopping day with bags?
The Mercedes V-Class when there are more than three of you or many bags; the S-Class for two travellers who want the rear seats.
Mercedes E-Class
3 passengers · 2 suitcases
£370(≈ $500)
Mercedes V-Class
7 passengers · 7 suitcases · the shopping choice
£460(≈ $620)
Mercedes S-Class
3 passengers · 2 suitcases · rear-seat comfort
£620(≈ $835)
Range Rover
4 passengers · 4 suitcases · the high seat
£730(≈ $985)
One fixed price per car — fuel, parking and the Congestion Charge included; half day (4 hours) from £230 and extra hours from £55, both chosen when you book.
Dollar figures are approximate; you are charged in GBP.
A V-Class boot takes a day’s shopping and two pushchairs; seating and boot details are on the Mercedes V-Class page.
The same fleet serves chauffeur-driven car hire in London by the hour if you only need the car for a couple of stores.

Can the day follow a Christmas gift list?
Yes. From November the route can swap fashion houses for toys, hampers and decorations near Mayfair.
Hamleys on Regent Street: seven floors of toys, calmest early on a weekday before the afternoon crowds.
Fortnum & Mason on Piccadilly: hampers, teas, biscuits and glass baubles, a few steps from Jermyn Street.
The Liberty Christmas Shop: the fourth floor of the Tudor-style store on Great Marlborough Street, given over to ornaments until the end of December.
Many West End stores open later on Thursdays and through December, so a midday pickup can end after dark. Hampers, boxed toys and fragile decorations travel flat in the boot and come back to the hotel with you.
When is the best time to shop in London, and what should we know?
Weekday mornings for the quietest stores; the sales run from late December and again from late June.
- Opening hours:most Knightsbridge and Mayfair stores open at 10:00 and close between 18:00 and 20:00; Sunday hours are shorter.
- Personal shoppers:Selfridges and Harvey Nichols offer them by appointment, and at Harrods the service is for Black and Platinum Rewards members; book a week ahead and tell us the time.
- Tax refunds:the UK ended tax-free shopping for visitors in January 2021, so prices in store are final.
- Delivery:large purchases can be shipped by the store; the driver waits while you arrange it at the counter.
Shopping the Boxing Day and January sales by car
London’s big winter sales traditionally open on Boxing Day, 26 December, and run into January. The first mornings are among the busiest of the year on Oxford Street, Regent Street and in Knightsbridge.
A chauffeur changes how that day works. You are dropped at the door as it opens, the car waits nearby, and every bag goes straight into the boot. Start early, take one area at a time, and keep Bicester Village for another day. Holiday opening hours differ from store to store, so check your favourites before you set the pickup time.
Tell us your date, your stores and how many of you there are.
The price is fixed and shown in the form below; your confirmation arrives by email as soon as you book. Arriving by air? Add meet and assist at the London airport and the shopping starts from the terminal door.
Can the day be planned around personal shopping appointments?
Yes. Many guests book a private styling session first and let the driving fit around it, so the fixed times set the order of the day.
- Book the store first — Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and Harrods each run one-to-one styling in private suites. Terms differ between stores, so confirm yours before booking the car.
- Send us the times — add each appointment to the booking notes. We set the pickup so you reach the store door ten minutes early, rested and without a search for the entrance.
- Leave room after each session — a styling suite visit often runs close to two hours. Keep the next stop light, such as lunch or a short walk along Sloane Street, rather than a second appointment straight after.
- Alterations and large pieces — items that need tailoring or are too big to carry can usually be sent on by the store to your hotel, which keeps the boot free for the rest of the route.
Two appointments in one day work best when they share a district: Knightsbridge in the morning, then Mayfair after lunch, with the car carrying everything between them.

Frequently asked questions about a London shopping tour with a private driver
Can we see the Christmas lights at the end of a shopping day?
Yes, with a later start. From early November the West End displays are lit by late afternoon, so a full day that begins around noon ends with the lit streets of Mayfair and Soho on the drive back. For a dedicated evening with walking stops, book our Christmas lights tour by private car separately.
How is the shopping day priced?
One fixed price for the whole car, from £370 for the full day in the Mercedes E-Class, covering the hours, the Congestion Charge, parking and fuel. Two travellers or seven pay the same for the same car; only the vehicle class and the day length, full or half, change it, and extra hours are added on the booking form at a fixed hourly rate. Purchases and meals are yours.
Can the driver help with the bags?
Yes. Your chauffeur takes each bag to the boot at the store door and keeps the car close to every stop. At the end of the day the bags go up to your hotel room with you, not carried through the streets.
Where does the day start?
At any London hotel, apartment or address, or at Heathrow, Gatwick and the other London airports. Pickup runs between 8:00am and 12:00 noon; a 10:00 start puts you at Harrods as the doors open.
Can visitors shop tax-free in London?
Not at the till. Great Britain no longer refunds VAT on goods that visitors carry home, so the price on the tag is the price you pay. A store can still sell VAT-free when it delivers the purchase straight to an address outside the UK, so ask at the counter whether it offers this. Your driver waits while you arrange it.
Is Bicester Village part of this tour?
No, Bicester Village is a separate day outside London with its own fixed price. This tour stays inside the city; guests who want both usually take the outlet day first and the London streets on another day.
Which vehicles are available, and how much fits in the boot?
Mercedes E-Class and S-Class for up to three passengers with two suitcases; the Mercedes V-Class for up to seven with seven suitcases and the day’s shopping; the Range Rover for four with four suitcases. Child seats are fitted on request at no charge.
Can you cover Harrods, Bond Street and Westfield in one day?
Yes. With a car at each door the three sit within twenty minutes of one another, so a full day gives two to three hours at each with lunch between; a half day covers two of them. Bags go in the boot after every stop, so you carry nothing and leave each street when you are done.
How long is a London shopping tour with a driver?
Choose a half day of four hours or a full day of eight. The half day suits one area, usually Knightsbridge and Mayfair, and you are back at your hotel by early afternoon. The full day leaves room for a long lunch, a second area of the city and a few unplanned stores. If your list grows, tell us when you book and we plan the day around it.
Can I cancel, and how do I pay?
Yes. Cancel at least 24 hours before pickup and any card payment is refunded in full; inside 24 hours the fare is charged. Pay by card in the booking form when you book, or choose cash and settle with the driver in pounds sterling on the day.
When are the Christmas shopping days in London in 2026?
Regent Street switches on its Christmas lights on 5 November 2026, Black Friday falls on 27 November and the winter sales open on Boxing Day, Saturday 26 December. Store hours change over the holidays and each store publishes them nearer the time, so the driver sets the pickup around your list and the opening hours.
Is the driver also a personal shopper or a guide?
No. Your chauffeur drives, waits near each store and takes care of the bags. For styling help, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols offer personal shoppers by appointment, and at Harrods the service is for Black and Platinum Rewards members. Book with the store, then share the time so the pickup matches.
Other day trips to book
Every store on your list, one car, empty hands.
