A 5-day Cotswolds tour from Heathrow is the relaxed way to see England’s best-known villages. Tripyana’s chauffeur meets you in arrivals, drives you to a country hotel, then spends three touring days with you in Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water, the Slaughters, Broadway and Chipping Campden, before Blenheim Palace and your flight home, all for one price per car.

Why five days

How many days do you need in the Cotswolds?

Five days is enough to see the famous villages at walking pace instead of through a car window. The region covers almost 800 square miles, so the plan uses two hotels rather than one.

Two bases, short drives

Two nights in the south near Bibury and Cirencester, two in the north near Broadway. Most stops are then 10 to 30 minutes apart.

No wasted travel days

Your chauffeur collects you at the airport on landing and returns you to Heathrow on the last afternoon. Both travel days carry sightseeing too.

Your luggage never moves twice

On the day you change hotels, the cases stay locked in the boot while you explore. You check in that evening with nothing to carry.

Only one day to spare from London? Take our private Cotswolds day tour from London instead; it covers Bibury and Bourton-on-the-Water in about nine hours.

Where to stay

Where should you stay for a Cotswolds tour?

Split the nights between the south and the north of the region. You book the hotels yourself, and we plan each pick-up around them.

Nights 1 and 2: the south

Stay near Malmesbury, Tetbury or Cirencester. Whatley Manor, a country-house hotel with gardens near Malmesbury, is one our guests have chosen.

Nights 3 and 4: the north

Stay around Broadway or Chipping Campden. Dumbleton Hall, a Victorian manor near Evesham, and The Lygon Arms on Broadway high street both suit the plan.

Tell us the names

Send both hotel names when you book. Your chauffeur checks the drive times and confirms each morning’s pick-up.

What you get

What is included in the Cotswolds tour?

Everything the car and the chauffeur need for five days is in the price. You pay only for your hotels, meals and entry tickets.

Meet & greet at Heathrow

Your chauffeur waits in arrivals with your name, helps with the trolley, and tracks the flight so a late landing costs nothing.

One chauffeur all week

The same driver stays with you for the five days, sleeping nearby, so mornings start on time and your routine is known by day two.

Fuel, parking and the driver’s hotel

Motorway miles, village car parks, and the chauffeur’s four nights away from London are all part of the total.

Free waiting at every stop

Lunch runs long or a garden is too lovely to leave? The car waits, within each day’s eight hours.

Not included: your own hotels, meals, and tickets such as Blenheim Palace and Broadway Tower. Book Blenheim online once your dates are fixed; the villages themselves are free to explore.

Where to eat

Where should you eat on a Cotswolds tour?

Lunch is built into every touring day. These are well-known places close to each stop; book ahead at weekends and in summer.

Day two: Barnsley

THE PIG-in the Cotswolds cooks from its own walled kitchen garden, a ten-minute drive from Bibury.

Day three: Stow-on-the-Wold

The Old Stocks Inn faces the market square, between Bourton-on-the-Water and the Slaughters.

Day four: Broadway

The high street has tea rooms and old stone inns. On a Sunday, choose a traditional roast lunch.

Want the car for dinner too? Add hours on the booking form, and your chauffeur drives you to the restaurant and back to the hotel.

Best time

When is the best time for a Cotswolds tour?

Every season works, because the car keeps you dry between stops. Each one gives the villages a different character.

  • Spring, April to May

Lambs in the fields, wisteria on the cottage walls, and quieter villages before the summer holidays.

  • Summer, June to August

Long evenings and gardens in full flower. Start at 9:00 to reach Bourton and Bibury before the crowds.

  • Autumn, September to November

Golden trees along the Windrush and warm pub fires. October is many guests’ favourite month.

  • Winter, December to March

Frost on the stone, log fires, and the shortest queues. Some attractions keep shorter hours, so we check your dates.

  • A rainy day

Swap a walk for the Corinium Museum in Cirencester or longer inside Blenheim Palace. The tea rooms make a wet afternoon cosy.

Plan the trip

What should you know before you book?

A few choices made before you fly keep the five days smooth. Your chauffeur handles the rest on the road.

  • Choose flights that fit the last day

The programme reaches Heathrow at about 14:15, which suits flights leaving from about 16:30. For an earlier flight, we shorten Blenheim.

  • Any arrival time works

Morning or late-evening landings are both fine. Give us the flight number and we track it.

  • Count your suitcases

The E-Class takes two large cases. With three or more, choose the V-Class so the boot closes on moving days.

  • Book Blenheim Palace ahead

Palace tickets are sold online. The park opens earlier than the palace, which is why day five starts with a walk.

  • Coming from London instead?

We can start from your London hotel at the same price. Add a few London days first with our 4-day London programme by car.

Would you rather tour England more widely, with Bath and Stonehenge, or finish at a cruise port? See our multi-day England tour with a private driver.

Questions

Questions about touring the Cotswolds with a private driver

Is 5 days enough for the Cotswolds?

Yes, for a first visit. Five days covers the arrival, three full touring days for Bibury, Bourton-on-the-Water, the Slaughters, Broadway and Chipping Campden, and a last morning at Blenheim Palace. With two hotels, most drives between stops take 10 to 30 minutes.

How much does a private Cotswolds tour cost?

The 5-day tour from Heathrow costs £2,350 in a Mercedes E-Class and £2,800 in a V-Class. The price is for the car, not per person, and includes the Heathrow meet and greet, fuel, parking and the chauffeur’s four nights away.

Can the tour start in London instead of Heathrow?

Yes. Your chauffeur can collect you from any London hotel on day one at the same price, and drop you back in London on day five. Choose your London address as the pick-up on the form.

Do you book the hotels?

No. We provide the car and the chauffeur only, so you book your two hotels directly and send us their names. We gladly suggest well-placed hotels in the south and north of the Cotswolds and plan the pick-ups around them.

Is the chauffeur also a tour guide?

No. Your chauffeur is a professional driver who knows the lanes, car parks and best viewpoints, and shares tips on the way, but does not guide inside the sights. Blenheim Palace offers its own guided options on the day.

What if our flight is delayed?

Nothing changes for you. Your chauffeur tracks the flight and waits in arrivals at the real landing time, with no extra charge for the delay. The rest of the programme starts the next morning as planned.

Can I cancel, and how do I pay?

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup, with any card payment refunded in full; inside 24 hours the fare is charged. Pay by card on the booking form, or choose cash and pay your chauffeur in pounds sterling on the first day.
