Blenheim sits 62 miles from Mayfair, eight miles north-west of Oxford on the A44. The palace tells drivers to use the postcode OX20 1UL; our chauffeurs know Woodstock Gate and the one-way car parks.
From Heathrow Terminal 5 the palace is 52 miles, so guests landing in the morning can visit the same afternoon, and those who only need the airport run into the city can book the one-way Heathrow to Oxford transfer.

A working ducal home and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Winston Churchill was born here on 30 November 1874.

- The Churchill Exhibition — his letters, the maroon siren suit, speech recordings and a lifelike model dressed by his own tailors; included with the palace ticket.
- The Water Terraces and the Rose Garden — formal gardens by Achille Duchêne beside a lake and 2,000 acres of park laid out by Capability Brown.
- The Grand Bridge and Queen Pool — the view Lord Randolph Churchill called the finest in England, ten minutes on foot from the house.
Queen Anne gave the estate to John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough, after the Battle of Blenheim in 1704; the family has lived here since 1705. In the grounds, at the Temple of Diana, Winston Churchill proposed to Clementine Hozier in 1908. The Walled Garden of 1707 still supplies the palace kitchens.

Oxford or Bicester Village: which stop should we add?
Oxford for the colleges, Bicester for the shops; both sit under 25 minutes from the palace gates and either fits the afternoon.
- Oxford8 miles and about 17 minutes south; the car drops you at the edge of the pedestrian centre for the Radcliffe Camera, the Bodleian and Christ Church. For four hours among the colleges, book the Oxford day trip and take Blenheim as its two-hour stop instead.
- Bicester Village14 miles and about 22 minutes east, designer outlets open 9:00am to 8:00pm. A full shopping day with the palace as the morning stop is the Bicester Village shopping day.
- Both, or the CotswoldsOxford and Bicester together need one extra hour on the booking. Burford, the Cotswolds gateway, is 18 miles west of the palace; for Bibury and the villages take the Cotswolds day trip on a second day.
When is Blenheim Palace open, and what should we know?
Most of the year, unlike the private houses that open for a season. The park opens daily 9:00am to 6:00pm; the state rooms keep their own hours by date.

Do you sell Blenheim Palace tickets?
No. Tickets are sold only on the palace’s own website and must be bought before you arrive, even on the day. The Palace, Park & Gardens ticket includes the Churchill Exhibition, the gardens and parking. Our part is the door-to-door drive, the wait in the car park and the journey home.
How long is the drive from London to Blenheim Palace?
About 1 hour 40 minutes from central London in normal traffic: the M40 to junction 9, then the A44 to Woodstock. The palace is 62 miles from Mayfair and 52 miles from Heathrow Terminal 5. An airport pickup on arrival day therefore shortens the drive.
Can we see Blenheim Palace and Oxford in one day?
