Wedding car hire in London — a black Mercedes S-Class with a chauffeur

Wedding car hire in London starts at £370 for a full eight-hour day with a Mercedes E-Class and a chauffeur, rising to £460 for the V-Class, £620 for the S-Class and £730 for the Range Rover. One price covers the whole day, every address on the schedule and the waiting between them.

Our fleet is modern rather than vintage: black Mercedes saloons, a seven-seat people carrier and a Range Rover, all in the same finish, so the cars in the photographs match each other. If you want a car that looks like the rest of the day, that consistency matters more than a single showpiece.

Why couples book the day, not the journey

The chauffeur stays with you

The same driver holds the car from the first pickup to the last drop, so nobody is negotiating with a new number between the ceremony and the reception.

A price that survives the day

One figure for the whole day, agreed at booking and set by the car you choose. Waiting between venues is included, and a late speech is not a surcharge on your wedding night.

More than one car

Parents, bridesmaids and guests can move in matching vehicles booked on the same schedule, from a seven-seat V-Class up to a Sprinter minibus.

How Much Is Wedding Car Hire in London?

A full wedding day is eight hours with a chauffeur. Choose the car below; the rate covers the whole booking rather than a single trip, and it does not change with mileage inside Greater London.

A shorter booking? A registry office wedding rarely needs eight hours. The minimum hire is four hours — £230 in the E-Class, £290 in the V-Class, £410 in the S-Class and £490 in the Range Rover — and extra hours after that are charged at the same hourly rate, from £45. See car hire with a driver in London for how the hourly booking works.

Which Car Should the Bride Arrive In?

For the bridal car, most couples take the Mercedes S-Class: rear doors that open wide enough for a full dress, a long wheelbase and a quiet cabin for the drive to the ceremony. It seats 3 passengers.

The Mercedes V-Class takes 7 passengers with 7 bags and a standing-height cabin, which is why it is the usual choice for the bridal party rather than the bride alone. The Range Rover suits a country venue and an unpaved drive.

Does the Price Cover the Whole Wedding Day?

Yes. The full-day rate is eight hours of the chauffeur’s time, which for most London weddings covers the morning pickup, the ceremony, the photographs and the arrival at the reception. Fuel, congestion and ULEZ charges and the waiting between venues are all inside the price.

If the day overruns, extra hours are added at the car’s own hourly rate — the published figure for each car, not a penalty rate invented on the night. Give us the running order when you book and we will tell you whether eight hours is realistic.

Can You Move the Guests as Well?

Yes, and it is usually the part that saves the day. Guests without a car, elderly relatives and anyone at a hotel across town are shuttled between the ceremony and the reception on a fixed schedule, timed alongside the bridal car.

Groups run in the V-Class for up to 7 people, or the Mercedes Sprinter for a larger party. Guest shuttles are quoted per schedule rather than from the table above, because the price depends on the route and the number of runs — send us the timings through the contact page.

Frequently Asked Questions About Wedding Car Hire

How much does wedding car hire cost in London?

A full wedding day of eight hours with a chauffeur is £370 in the Mercedes E-Class, £460 in the V-Class, £620 in the S-Class and £730 in the Range Rover. A four-hour minimum booking is available for a shorter registry office wedding. Every rate is fixed at booking and covers fuel, congestion and ULEZ charges.

How long do I get the wedding car for?

Eight hours on the full-day rate, or a four-hour minimum for a shorter registry office wedding. Extra hours are added at the car’s normal hourly rate, from £45, so an overrunning reception is charged at the same price as the rest of the day.

Do you supply vintage or classic wedding cars?

No. Tripyana runs a modern fleet — black Mercedes E-Class, V-Class and S-Class saloons plus a Range Rover and a Sprinter — so the cars match each other in photographs. If a vintage car is essential to your plan, this is not the right service for you.

Can you transport wedding guests between venues?

Yes. The V-Class carries 7 passengers and the Mercedes Sprinter takes a larger party, running shuttles between the ceremony and the reception on a fixed schedule. Guest transport is quoted per running order because the price depends on the route and the number of runs.

How far in advance should I book a wedding car?

Saturdays between May and September are the first dates to go, so book as soon as the venue is confirmed. An early booking costs you nothing if the plan changes, and the price is fixed from the day you reserve.

Are your wedding chauffeurs licensed and insured?

Yes. Tripyana is a licensed UK private hire operator, and the licence and company numbers are printed in the footer of this page. Every wedding booking is a pre-booked, insured private hire driven by a professional chauffeur in a suit, not a self-drive rental, so there is no deposit and no excess to sign for.

Still fixing the date? The GOV.UK guide to marriages and civil partnerships sets out the notice period you have to give before the ceremony, which is usually what decides how early the car can be booked.

Hold the car before the date goes.

One fixed price for the whole day, one chauffeur, and free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup. Looking at the same fleet for another occasion? See luxury car hire in London with a chauffeur.
