What is the Windsor Suite, Heathrow’s VIP terminal?
The Windsor Suite is Heathrow’s official private terminal, long used by royalty and heads of state and now open to private bookings as The Windsor.
- Its own entrance at Terminal 5, away from the public halls.
- A team that handles every step from your front door to your aircraft seat.
- Not a hotel room and not part of Windsor Castle: the “suite” is a private lounge in a separate building, used by your party alone.

- Well-behaved dogs and other domestic pets are welcome by prior arrangement, so mention them in your enquiry.
- The team does not accept tips or gifts, so there is nothing extra to hand over on the day.
What happens at the Windsor Suite, step by step
Departing
Your car drops you at The Windsor’s own door next to Terminal 5. Check-in, bags, security and passports are handled in your suite while you dine or rest. At boarding time a car takes you over the airfield to the aircraft steps.
Arriving
A team member meets you as you step off the plane and a car brings you to your suite. Passports and luggage are cleared privately, and your chauffeur waits outside. A private Windsor Castle day trip can follow a relaxed arrival.
Connecting
You are met at the aircraft, rest in your suite between flights, then a car drives you across the airfield to your next aircraft. Flying on from Gatwick instead? A chauffeur transfer to Gatwick drops you at the right terminal.
Who can use the Heathrow VIP terminal?
The Windsor takes private bookings from travellers with a First or Business Class ticket.
- Any airline qualifies, and flights from Terminals 2, 3 and 4 are served from the same private building next to Terminal 5.
- Premium Economy and Economy tickets do not qualify. In that cabin, ask us about a private welcome on landing, which is open to every cabin.

How much does the Windsor Suite cost?
The official price starts at £4,060, with nothing added on top, per booking for 1–3 guests (Heathrow VIP, checked 26 October 2026). It is priced per service — one arrival, one departure or one connection — so flying out and back through it means two separate charges.
Worth knowing: because the price covers up to three guests, a party of three effectively pays about £1,353 per person — while a solo traveller carries the full amount alone.

Heathrow does not publish a fixed price for larger parties. Its calculator gives a guide for up to 12 travellers, and groups above 12 are priced individually, with more than one lounge if needed. Send us the full guest list for a confirmed figure.

The Windsor is worth it when you fly First or Business and privacy comes first.
When it is worth it
You want no public queues and a car straight to the aircraft steps. It suits public figures, a family who wants a calm arrival after a long flight, and three guests sharing the one booking price.
When it is less worth it
You travel solo and mainly want speed through the airport. Then ask us about VIP Meet and Greet.
How early should you arrive at Heathrow’s VIP terminal?
Heathrow sets clear time rules for The Windsor. Plan your car around them.
Departures
Arrive at least 1 hour 30 minutes before your flight, or two hours before if you want the personal shopper in Terminal 5. If you arrive late and the airline cannot accept you, the service is not refunded.
Arrivals and connections
After landing you can leave as soon as your passport check and bags are done. More time in the lounge can be arranged at extra cost, subject to availability.
Your car at the door
The Windsor is drop-off and pick-up only, with no parking. A private driver must be registered with Heathrow at least 24 hours ahead, with the driver’s name and the car’s registration. Unregistered cars may be refused entry.
If your flight is delayed
Tell the team as soon as you know. Heathrow may be able to move your service, subject to availability. Your Tripyana chauffeur tracks the flight number you give us.
Can family or friends who are not flying join you at the Windsor Suite?
Yes. Heathrow lets up to two non-travelling guests into your private lounge at no extra cost.
- Their names are part of the booking, so tell us who is coming when you enquire.
- Arrival: your greeters may join up to 30 minutes before you are due.
- Departure: they can come up to two hours before the flight. Everyone leaves the suite together.
- We can drive your greeters to The Windsor’s entrance, then the whole party on to your home or hotel.
Can you bring children or ask for mobility help at the Windsor Suite?
Children are welcome at The Windsor when an adult travels with them.
- Child seats: Heathrow asks you to bring one that meets UK rules, or request one at booking. With a Tripyana chauffeur, child seats are free for every age; tell us each child’s age and the right seat is in the car before pickup.
- Mobility help: say so in your enquiry. Heathrow asks for this at booking, so the team can plan your route through the suite.
- Assistance dogs: welcome. Their training certificate and formal ID must reach Heathrow’s team at least 24 hours before the service.
Windsor Suite chauffeur: when is the free car enough?
Heathrow’s Black Service includes a free chauffeur within 25 miles of Heathrow, if you request it when you book. Longer drives, up to 70 miles, are charged per mile. For many hotels in west and central London, that free car may be all you need.
Beyond the free 25 miles
A home or hotel further out, or a drive past 70 miles, is where a Tripyana Mercedes from Heathrow is quoted at a fixed price per car.
The same driver for your stay
Keep one chauffeur for the rest of your trip, a Windsor Castle day, or a larger car such as a chauffeur-driven Range Rover.
Pickup time and meeting details are confirmed in writing alongside your suite booking.
Can you use the Windsor Suite one way and VIP Meet and Greet the other?
Yes. Each service is priced on its own, so you can book the private terminal for the leg that matters most: often the departure, where check-in, security and boarding all happen in your suite, or the arrival after a night flight.
For the other leg we can add our VIP Meet & Greet, which also works when that leg is in Premium Economy. Send us both flights when you enquire, and we confirm the suite, the greeter and your chauffeur in writing as one trip.

Can I use the Windsor Suite for a connecting flight at Heathrow?
Yes. The Windsor by Heathrow is booked per service: an arrival, a departure or a connection, each priced on its own. On a connection you are met at the aircraft, rest in your own private suite, and are driven across the airfield to your onward flight, so you never walk through the main terminal. Send both flight numbers when you enquire.
Where is the suite, and does it serve all Heathrow terminals?
The Windsor has its own private entrance beside Terminal 5, and it serves flights from every Heathrow terminal — a luxury car drives you across the airfield directly between your suite and your aircraft door, whichever terminal it uses.
Does it include a chauffeur from my home or hotel?
Yes, within 25 miles of Heathrow on the Black Service, if you request it at booking; longer drives up to 70 miles are charged per mile. For a hotel further away, free child seats or the same driver for your stay, we can arrange a Tripyana chauffeur instead.
What is the difference between the Windsor Suite and the VIP Meet and Greet?
The Windsor Suite is a fully private experience outside the terminals at a premium price. The VIP Meet & Greet delivers the essentials inside the terminals — aircraft-door welcome, Fast Track passports, and full assistance — at a fixed published price for up to two guests, with an optional VIP lounge.
Is the Windsor Suite worth it for a long-haul arrival or departure from the US?
Yes, if you fly First or Business and a private, calm start or finish to a long flight matters more than cost. If you mainly want speed after a night flight, our VIP Meet & Greet is the lighter option.
Who can use the Windsor Suite at Heathrow?
Only passengers flying First or Business class, with any airline, to or from Heathrow. Economy and Premium Economy travellers are not eligible, and children under 18 are welcome with an adult. If you fly Economy, VIP Meet and Assist gives you an aircraft-door welcome and Fast Track instead.
How much is the VIP lounge at Heathrow?
It depends on what you mean. The Windsor is a whole private terminal for your party. If you want a VIP lounge with an aircraft-door welcome and Fast Track inside the normal terminal, our Meet and Greet package is £350 for up to two guests, plus £65 per person each way for the lounge.
How much is the Windsor Suite for a family?
The base price covers up to three travellers per service, so a couple with one child pays the same as a solo traveller. Larger families pay more: Heathrow’s pricing calculator gives a guide price for groups of up to 12. Up to two non-travelling guests, such as relatives meeting you, can join the lounge free.
Can I cancel a Windsor Suite booking?
You can cancel, but Heathrow keeps the full cost in every case unless Heathrow itself cancels the service. Changes are allowed up to 12 hours before your service, subject to availability, and traveller details can be updated until 48 hours before. Book only once your flight is fixed.
How far in advance should I enquire about the Windsor Suite?
Enquire once your travel dates and flight are settled, and the earlier the better. The suite is offered by availability and arranged individually for each visit.
