What is included

What is included in a Heathrow to Cambridge transfer?

One chauffeur and one car from the arrivals hall to your door in Cambridge. About 74 miles, no change of vehicle. Fuel, motorway mileage and the Heathrow parking are inside the fare. Every booking carries four things:

A name board in arrivals

The chauffeur stands in the arrivals hall of your terminal after customs. You walk out, find your name, and the bags are carried to the car.

An hour of waiting included

We track the flight and time the pickup to the landing. The first 60 minutes after touchdown are free, which covers passport control and the belt.

Any Cambridge address

A college on King’s Parade, a hotel by the river, Addenbrooke’s Hospital or an office on the Science Park. You name the door.

One fare for the whole car

Per car, not per person. The E-Class seats 3 with 2 large cases; the V-Class seats 7 with 7. Child seats are free.

Meeting point

Which Heathrow terminal, and where do we meet?

Whichever terminal your flight lands at: Heathrow uses Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5. The meeting point is the same in each, the public arrivals hall just past the customs exit. Send the flight number and we work out the terminal for you.

Terminal 5 is on the western edge of the airport. Terminals 2 and 3 share the central area; Terminal 4 is on the south side. The car reaches the M25 from each within minutes, so the terminal changes the fare only slightly.

Landing after midnight or on a Sunday makes no difference. The service runs 24 hours a day at the same fare. The chauffeur is already in the hall when the doors open.

The journey

How long is the drive to Cambridge from Heathrow?

King's College Chapel and Clare College seen across the River Cam in Cambridge

Usually 1¾ to 2¼ hours for about 74 miles. The chauffeur takes the M25 clockwise round the north of London and turns up the M11 towards Cambridge. Free-flowing traffic gives about 1 hour 45 minutes; the weekday peaks on the M25 add up to half an hour.

Addenbrooke’s and the Biomedical Campus sit at the southern edge of the city, so they come first. The colleges in the centre follow a few minutes later; the Science Park on the north side comes last.

There is a service area on the M11 for a short stop if the children need one. Tell the chauffeur on the day; it costs nothing and adds ten minutes.
