Unaccompanied minors are £400. The flight is tracked and 60 minutes of waiting is free.

Updated · TRIPYANA LTD, London

The service is built for one situation: a first arrival in the UK after a long flight. It runs at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City, 24 hours a day, and ends only when a named person signs for the student — a university representative, a school guardian, a relative, or the door of the halls.

Why Tripyana

What families and universities get

One published price

One published figure for a student and one for an unaccompanied minor, agreed before the flight and not touched afterwards. No waiting charges, no night surcharge, no surge.

Never alone in the terminal

The representative is inside the arrivals corridor with a name board before the doors open, and stays with the student through immigration and baggage.

A handover on record

We release the student only to the person named on your written authorisation, check their ID, and photograph the handover for the parent.

Coverage

Which London Airports and Terminals Do You Cover?

All five London airports, at every terminal: Terminals 2, 3, 4 and 5 at Heathrow, the North and South terminals at Gatwick, and the single terminals at Stansted, Luton and London City. The terminal is read from the flight number, so nobody works it out on the day.

Students on connecting flights are collected at the final London arrival, not the first landing. If the itinerary changes, send the new flight number and the pickup moves with it.

Delays

What Happens If the Flight Is Delayed?

Nothing changes for the family. Every booking is tracked against the live arrival time and the representative’s shift moves with the aircraft. The 60 free minutes start when the wheels touch down, not at the scheduled time, so a two-hour delay is not a two-hour bill.

Because the representative is with the student inside the terminal, time spent in the immigration queue is part of the service, not an extra. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup covers a flight moved to another day.

Luggage

Can a Student Bring Extra Luggage to Halls?

Yes, and the car choice is what makes it work. A student moving in for a full academic year rarely travels with one case. The Mercedes E-Class takes 3 passengers and 3 bags; the Mercedes V-Class takes 7 passengers and 7 bags, which is the realistic choice for a first arrival with a year’s belongings.

Tell us the number of cases at booking and the right vehicle is assigned, so a family arriving together for the settling-in week travels in one car with the luggage.

Paying from abroad

Can a Parent Abroad Book and Pay From Home?

Yes. The booking is paid online by card from anywhere in the world, and the confirmation email arrives at once with the price, the vehicle, the tracked flight and the name of the person authorised to receive the student. Nothing is paid in cash at the airport.

For universities, colleges and guardianship agencies: arrival pickups can be arranged as a block for a whole intake week, with one invoice and one named contact. Start from our B2B partnership page or contact the team with the arrival dates.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About Student Airport Pickup

How much is a student airport pickup in London?

A fixed £300 for a student and £400 for an unaccompanied minor, at any London airport and in either direction. The price covers the aircraft-door meet, the escort through immigration and baggage, the private car and 60 minutes of free waiting. It is agreed before the flight.

Where exactly is the student met?

At the aircraft door. Our authorised representative waits in the arrivals corridor with a name board before passengers disembark, so the student does not walk through the airport alone at any point. The meeting arrangement is confirmed by email before departure.

Who is allowed to collect the student at the end?

Only the person named on the parental authorisation you sign at booking — a university representative, a school or guardianship officer, or a relative. We check their identity before releasing the student and send the parent a photograph of the handover.

Do you take students to universities outside London?

Yes. After the airport meet the same chauffeur drives the student on to Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Brighton or any other UK campus. Long routes are quoted per journey before booking; London to Manchester is £870 as a full-day package covering 4 to 9 hours.

Does this replace the airline’s unaccompanied minor service?

No, it continues from it. Airline unaccompanied minor services end when staff hand the child over in the arrivals hall. Our representative takes over there, completes the terminal formalities and delivers the student to the person you authorised, or to their accommodation.

Is Tripyana licensed to carry students?

Yes. Tripyana is a licensed UK private hire operator, and the licence and company numbers are printed in the footer of this page. Every journey is a pre-booked, insured private hire driven by a professional chauffeur, and every airport meet is carried out by an authorised representative working inside the terminal.

How do parents follow the journey while the student is in the terminal?

Through photo updates sent at every stage: landing, immigration, baggage and the final handover. You see each step as it happens instead of waiting by the phone, and our representative stays reachable by email and telephone throughout the meet, from the aircraft door to the agreed handover.

Do you work directly with universities and boarding schools?

Yes. We coordinate with international student offices and school representatives, and we arrange group arrivals for institutions welcoming several students on the same day. Ask for a written quote through our contact page and we will confirm the handover procedure with the university or school before the flight.

Book the arrival, not the worry.
