Which streets and lights are on the route?
The loop covers the West End, Westminster and Knightsbridge in one evening. Most of it is seen from the back seat; two or three stops are on foot.

How long does the evening take, and when should we start?
Four hours covers the whole loop with three walking stops. December darkness falls in the late afternoon. A start between 17:00 and 19:00 suits families and late diners alike. A typical evening runs like this:

When are the London Christmas lights on in 2026?
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland has confirmed its 2026 season: 19 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, closed on Christmas Day. Covent Garden announces its festive season “from November 2026” on its official page.
Regent Street, Oxford Street and Carnaby publish their 2026 switch-on dates in the autumn. The official sites are linked below; we update this page when each street confirms.
The evening works from the switch-on until the lights come down; the weeks before Christmas are the busiest. Book early: cars are allocated in order of booking.

What should we know before booking a Christmas lights evening?
- December traffic is part of the planthe West End is slow on festive evenings, which suits a lights drive. The four hours allow for it; the driver picks the quieter side streets between displays.
- Pedestrian zonesCarnaby Street and the Covent Garden piazza are car-free. The driver stops at the nearest corner and meets you at an agreed point. Each walk is 10 to 30 minutes.
- Central London chargesthe Congestion Charge runs 07:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and 12:00 to 18:00 at weekends. It is suspended between Christmas Day and the New Year’s Day bank holiday. Whenever it applies, it is inside our price.
- Christmas Daythe lights stay on while most shops and public transport close. An evening on 25 December is booked on request and confirmed by the team; ask a week ahead.
- Weatherrain does not spoil a lights drive; it makes the reflections better. The walking stops are optional and can become drive-throughs.
- Shopping on the waybags go in the boot at each stop. A department-store visit fits inside the hours; a longer shopping evening is better booked as a private London tour by car with a later start.

Yes, as a drop-off at the gates and a pickup when you are done. Winter Wonderland runs from 19 November 2026 to 3 January 2027 and is ticketed separately. The time inside the park counts within your booked hours.
Is a four-hour evening enough, and can we add dinner?
Four hours covers the full loop with three walking stops. A dinner stop is welcome and counts inside the hours. Add one or two extra hours in the booking form when you book. Every started hour is billed as a full hour.
