Stonehenge & Bath in One Day — Private Tour from London, Driver Waits
Tripyana’s Stonehenge and Bath day trip is a private Mercedes with a chauffeur: your driver collects you at your London hotel between 7am and noon, waits at both stops and brings you back the same evening, about ten hours in all. The fare is £550 for the car, up to three passengers, not per person. Stonehenge entry is a timed ticket you book separately; we plan the pickup around it.

How the day runs
Departure from your hotel
Your driver arrives at your London hotel entrance at the time you chose, between 7:00am and 12:00 noon — this trip starts earlier than our others because the day is the longest.
Stonehenge
Around two hours at the prehistoric circle on Salisbury Plain: the visitor centre, the shuttle to the stones and the slow walk around them. Check your ticket conditions and the opening hours for your visit date.
The drive to Bath
Under an hour across Wiltshire countryside — a natural moment for a rest before the second act of the day.
Bath
The Roman Baths themselves, the sweep of the Royal Crescent, and Pulteney Bridge with its shops built over the river. Two to three hours covers the heart of the city, with time for a late lunch.
Back to your hotel
The longest leg home — around two and a half hours. Most guests sleep. Your driver returns you to the same address you started from.

Know before you go
- Check admission before choosing your pickup time. Review Stonehenge tickets and opening hours for your date, then share your plans with us.
- This is our longest trip — departures are 7:00am to 12:00 noon. A ten-hour day is best started early: the earlier you leave, the earlier you are back in London.
- The stones are in open country. Salisbury Plain is windy in every season — bring a layer even in summer.
- Allow time for the drive to Bath. Check Roman Baths entry times before booking an afternoon visit. A reserved slot does not guarantee immediate entry.
- Plan the drive by the hour, not by the mile. Our data puts Mayfair to Stonehenge at 118 to 123 minutes for departures from 8:00am to noon, and Bath back to Mayfair at 138 to 163 minutes between 3:00pm and 7:00pm. Hour-by-hour tables: day-trip journey times.
- Flying in, or sailing out the same week? The same drivers run a private transfer from Heathrow to your London hotel on arrival day, and a cruise terminal transfer from Heathrow to Southampton if the holiday ends on a ship.
Can we go inside the stone circle, add a spa stop, or swap Bath for Salisbury or Winchester?
Yes. All three are changes to the same car and driver. The trip fare in the vehicle cards below stays as shown. Two options add time to the day, charged per started hour at the rate in the table. Every ticket is bought by you on the official site.
Stone Circle Experience — inside the stones, before or after public hours
English Heritage runs one-hour guided sessions inside the circle, in the early morning or the evening. Each session takes at most 52 people, split into two groups of 26. Day visitors otherwise view the stones from a rope line. There are no sessions in October or November; dates are on sale to March 2027 and go quickly.
A morning session means leaving London before dawn; an evening session brings you back late. Either way, allow about one extra hour beyond the ten-hour day. The pickup falls outside the booking-form window, so ask for a fixed quote through the contact page. We confirm the pickup time and the total in writing.
Thermae Bath Spa — two hours in Britain’s original natural thermal spa
The Thermae Welcome session lasts two hours and includes towel and robe, the open-air rooftop pool and the Minerva Bath. The spa is adults only (16+) and opens 9:00am to 9:30pm. Pre-booked places are limited and walk-in entry runs as a virtual queue. Reserve your slot online and tell us the time.
Choose one or two extra hours in the booking form; the driver waits at an agreed point in Bath. The Roman Baths still fit the same afternoon if you book the spa for the later slot.
Salisbury or Winchester instead of Bath — same fare, shorter day
Salisbury Cathedral is 19 km from the stones, about 25 minutes by car. It holds Britain’s tallest spire and an original 1215 Magna Carta, and opens Monday to Saturday 9:30am to 5pm. Winchester Cathedral is 55 km away on the road home, about 45 minutes. It is over 900 years old, hosts the Kings and Scribes exhibition, and opens Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm.
Either swap saves roughly an hour of driving and the fare stays as shown; a shorter day is not discounted. Book the trip as normal and name the swap in a reply to your confirmation email. Or ask first through the contact page. Sailing from Southampton? Stonehenge also fits between Heathrow and the cruise port.
